As a Customer Service Associate, you will interface with customers via inbound calls for the purpose of providing accurate information and support on billing, account information, and services for a cutting-edge wireless client. With this Work At Home position, you will initiailly be based out of our Waco site for the initial 9 weeks of new hire training. Â
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, a self-starter, and self-managed. Associates must be able to work on site 100% of time until performance and attendance are at an acceptable level. Also, Associates must be able to come into the center on demand as need arises and able to come into the center if persistent TCA Equipment problems exist at home office. Should performance or attendance fall below acceptable levels, associates must be able to work out of the Waco site.
WORK FROM HOME EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:Wired Internet Service, Satellite or Wireless is not acceptable. Ability to directly connect (i.e. no wireless routers) the Convergys TCA equipment to a working ISP with minimum speed requirements of 500 kbps (.5mb)upload and 1500 kbps (1.5mg) download speeds for Cable and DSL Ability to meet the CVG Home Agent Voice Quality Test requirements of 3.8 or higher Separate area defined for a working environment free of noise and distractions to include other family members, children and pets A wired router with at least 2 free Ethernet ports to connect the Wyse terminal and hard phone unit. (Recommended routers are Linksys, Belkin, Cisco, or Netgear) 1 ethernet cable to support the set up of the Wyse terminal and hard phone unit PC monitor to connect to the Wyse terminal Chair, desk or sturdy table to place TCA equipment and phone Locks to secure doors and windows to prevent inappropriate access to TCA equipment

Interface with customers via inbound calls for the purpose of resolving routine problems with products or services.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner using agreed upon procedures. Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns; demonstrate empathy. Clarify customer requirements; probe for and confirm understanding of requirements or problem. Meet customer requirements through first contact resolution. Confirm customer understanding of the solution and provide additional customer education as needed. Prepare complete and accurate work and update customer file. Communicate effectively with individuals/teams in the program to ensure high quality and timely expedition of customer requests. Effectively transfer misdirected customer requests to an appropriate party. Contribute ideas on ways to resolve problems to better serve the customer and/or improve productivity. Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance. Determine appropriate response to customers by using a script or sales flow. Place and/or receive structured customer inquiries. Provide product information and receive customer information. Respond to common customer work/service orders, inquiries, and requests. Sell new services and retain existing services. Maintain basic knowledge of products, pricing, promotions, procedures, and other important issues through management communications, meetings, client focus groups, and formal training.
Education & Professional Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Ability to navigate multiple software programs at once. Willingness to rotate shifts, as needed. Ability to learn. Courteous with strong customer service orientation and sales skills. Dependable with proficient attention to detail. Good listening and responding skills. Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to changes quickly and think conceptually.
